No more Aussie-built Fords?

Tell 'em they're dreaming.

Read the Sydney Morning Herald's article here.

Schumacher accident in Holland

This is what happened when Ralf Schumacher's Merc accidentally snagged a cable. Ralf is Michael Schumacher's brother.

World's Greatest Drag Race PT2

OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG!

This is the follow up to Motor Trend's previous drag race, which you can view here. This is absolutely incredible, although it seems a bit strange to have a Mustang and Camaro in there without representation from Ferrari, Maserati or Aston Martin to name a few. Still, it's worth a watch. Enjoy!

World's oldest Ferrari restored.

What's more, this 1947 166 Spyder Corsa is now worth US$8million. Read on here.

Pebble Beach round-up and rant.

Yes Pebble Beach had some truly ethereal concourse cars. See the Telegraph's pictures here.

Oh wait...which of the above DOES NOT BELONG? ANYWHERE? EVER? Why would Bentley even consider taking this jalopy to Pebble Beach (unless they were going to actually submerge it)? Brace yourself for impending editorial high-horse.

The first time I saw this monstrosity, in March this year, I wrote this. I honestly thought Bentley would go away after the gasps heard Worldwide after its unveiling and would, well...smooth it out. But it's still lots of different ideas, angles and lines all slammed onto one car.

I cannot believe the same people who came up with this EXP 9F concept managed to create these stunning and well-balanced beauties:

Surely the sensible thing would be to use the lines and styling of the Mulsanne's front half as the template? Who's with me on this? Feel free to email at exhaustpipedreams@gmail.com

McQueen's Gulf Car - US$11million

In June I wrote that that the GT40 used in the film Le Mans with Steve McQueen was to be auctioned. Well it's been sold for a cool US$11,000,000 making it the most expensive US car, ever. Read about this and other results here with Bloomberg.

Dr Phil in Grand Theft Auto

Dr Phil has had his Chevy stolen in LA. I understand coveting thine neighbours' possessions but seriously, what are you going to do with a car that stands out this much? It's not exactly a Toyota Camry. Something tells me there's more to this story. Let wait and see- but in the meantime, read the article here.

Kim Kardashian gets an AMG G63!

That's right, Kim Kardashian, the girl made famous for her amateur X-rated porn film has been given the keys to a £120,000 Mercedes AMG G63. Sigh. If that's all it takes to become a celebrity and have any car you want, for free, where do I sign up? Read on here.

Apparition in Covent Garden

I've been interested in the Rolls Royce Ghost since it was released in 2009, partly because I was slightly unsure of the whole point of the vehicle. Rolls said they were aiming younger with this but I always felt it would create a 'Boxster V. Carrera' type situation where if you could, why wouldn't you just buy the flagship model? Also, in photos the Ghost seemed quite compact, but gosh, spying it on the street last week in Covent Garden changed my mind. It's huge! It's of course smaller than the Phantom but it's still a full-sized car. I think the front grille and lights lack road presence (perhaps the Phantom has too much road presence!) and this will make it date faster but overall it's an elegant machine. To put its size in perspective for you- the SWB Ghost is longer than the LWB Mercedes S-class. Now that's a lot of car for the 'baby' of the range.

What a babe!

I just love the pagoda rooved SL (shown here with its soft-top on). It makes me think of vintage Hollywood screen sirens. Funnily enough, my Wife and sister both want one. I see a few men driving them but they're definitely one for the Wives, in my opinion. The bigger SE cabriolet is the gent's ride. This beauty was parked near work on Rathbone Street and funnily enough, had fashion mags and make-up strewn across the passenger seat. An ad agency gal, me thinks.

Bargain hunters assemble.

My Father, Warren, has always shaken his head at the thought of people borrowing money to buy a car, especially a brand new car. He has also drummed into me the importance of taking depreciation into consideration when thinking of a brand new luxury car. Today's article by The Telegraph's Mike Rutherford makes for jaw-dropping reading.

Basically, these cars pictured (and many more) if bought today, will drop in value at least 75% within three years. OUCH! So keep your eye on your dream car because in three year's time they'll be giving them away. I'll take the Jag, thanks. Read the article here.

Want to be the Royal Chauffeur?

That's right, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is hiring a new chauffeur. I would love to drive the incredible royal fleet and have chats with Her Madge. We could listen to Crowded House and sing along. Share minties and cut laps of the main street together. I would even let her be in charge of the radio. But that's just the kind of guy I am.

If you wish to apply...here is how.

Let us herald the arrival of greatness.

The 2013 Rangie has been revealed! At first glance the grille and air-intakes were giving me a tension headache but it's already growing on me. The side profile still has the classic look but the new vents are super sexy. Right...off to the shop to get one then. Read on here. The new specs and aluminium body are amazing!

Great Scott!

Want to be the next Marty McFly? Here's your chance. This DeLorean is currently for auction on ebay, for between £20,000 and £22,500.

Thanks to Heidi Gadd for sending this in.

Bathroom Basin

How is this for the ultimate bathroom basin stand? A good way of getting revved up in the morning.

'Some' of Jay Kay's cars.

That's right, check out some of the Jamiroquai lead singer Jay Kay's stable. The telegraph featured the top 5 images today so I've done some research to show you the rest. Jay Kay has owned or still owns all of these cars. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?

Let's have a look at his collection:
