2013 Range Rover Review

Here's the Telegraph's review of the new Rangie. Seriously though...how many of these, if any, will ever ever ever come into contact with mud. I saw my first one, in the flesh this week. Has a different on-road presence to its predecessor.

007 James Bond's Stunt Driver

I'm going to see Skyfall tonight and I cannot wait! Here's an article from the Telegraph giving you an insight into being THE stunt driver for Bond. Read on here.

2012 Bentley Mulsanne

The devil is in the detail. I was mesmerised by this film from start to finish. If I had this car I would never, ever, ever get out of it.

The Golden Maybach

I don't understand Arabic but I certainly get the drift. Someone's got an obscene amount of money (and very little taste).

1969 Holden Monaro

For the uninitiated this 1969 Monaro is a pretty special Aussie classic, with an asking price to match (of AUD$300,000). I remember people driving around in these in my hometown and they certainly weren't too valuable then. With the on-set the Aussie muscle-car boom, cars like GTHO (Phase III) Falcons, Monaros and Toranas began fetching crazy high prices. The days of the $800K Falcon GTHO Phase III are long gone, along with the Aussie muscle-car bubble, but clearly some owners are still asking for high prices.

To balance the Ford versus Holden war, here is a Falcon GTHO Phase III which sold for $683,650.

Herbie the Love-bug

Here is one of the seven original Herbie VW Beetles used for Herbie Goes Bananas and Herbie Goes to Monto Carlo. By the looks of it...the price has gone bananas too. The seller's asking AUD$150,000 (that's £96,000 or US$154K).

Amelia Lily- You Bring Me Mercedes Joy

It looks like Mercedes SE week on Exhaust Pipe Dreams with another stunner. We had MTV playing while we were getting ready this morning and this song came on. I don't care much for the audio but the visuals did it for me.

Sydney Mercedes SE Cabriolet

Australia is well known for its fine examples of British, European and US classics, as many parts of australia are hot and dry. This is my friend Paul Leadon's magnificent Mercedes SE Cabriolet which is perfectly topped off in its cream hood. You'll know from previous posts I'm a pretty big fan of the SE.
